Short answer: the right heat pump depends on the size and insulation of your home and what you want it for — hot water only, or also heating, cooling and the pool. For an average Costa Blanca home a 6-12 kW aerothermal heat pump is usually enough.
What is aerothermal technology?
Aerothermal tech extracts heat from the outside air and provides heating, hot water and cooling in one efficient system. A COP of 4 means 4 kWh of heat per kWh of electricity — far more efficient than gas or electric heating.
What capacity do you need?
The required capacity depends on the floor area, insulation and climate. We run a heat-load calculation so you neither over- nor under-buy. For a well-insulated 100-150 m² home it is often around 6-10 kW.
Which type suits you?
If you only want hot water, a compact air-to-water heat pump with a tank is enough. If you also want heating and cooling, choose a system connected to underfloor heating, radiators or fan coils. For the pool, a separate or integrated solution is possible.
Combine it with solar panels
A heat pump uses electricity; power it with solar panels and your bill drops to the minimum. Many installations also qualify for subsidies. Innovadoras recommends the ideal unit and handles installation and legalisation. Request a free study.
